MC welcomes new MCYC cohort
The Micronesia Challenge Regional Office (MCRO) would like to welcome our newest Micronesia Challenge Young Champions 2024 Cohort! This year, we are proud to announce that we have five young champions from 4 of the 5 MC jurisdictions.
The MCYC are: Miss Ale’a Trinidad Duenas (Guam - UOG SeaGrant/MC Guam), Miss Jamaira Richard (Palau - Helen Reef Resource Management Project), Miss Andrea H. J. Roberto (CNMI - Mariana Islands Nature Alliance), Miss Memory J. Rudolph (FSM - Chuuk EPA) and Mr. Jude Litulumar (CNMI - Climate Policy and Planning Program).
These Champions will be working with their mentors and host institutions in their respective islands on various programs that involve all aspects of the MC targets - invasive species, terrestrial conservation, climate change, and sustainable livelihoods. Through this internship, they will gain work experience in the environmental conservation/management field and this experience will also provide opportunity for the Champions to network outside of their islands and learn from each other, building a network of their own as they work towards the common goals of The Micronesia Challenge.
